It is not surprising, but a shock to the thrower, that “the boomerang won’t come back”, “My boomerang won’t come back”!!!! The mathematics are complicated, and it must have taken centuries for multiple individuals to perfect the art. It was needed to overcome the numerous dynamic forces to perfect the ability to both throw and kill and especially for the boomerang to come back. It would be a disgrace to the race if it didn’t. As far as we are aware the there is no IP over it either, a sharing race.
For a UAS not to comeback would be tragic. The costs would be enormous. At least the C2000 and the P20 2017 always come back, to exactly the same place within cms!! By transferring the intelligence from man to machine, the cyberbrain can perform functions independent of manual control. It wasn’t easy and needed a skilled team of researchers but the end result is amazing.
If only the aboriginals had the intelligent flying machine 50,000 years ago. At least it is better late than never and to the Australian landowner and farmer, the combination of UASs available make for a “UAS for all seasons”, to survey the landscape and undertake multiple tasks from detecting weeds to eradicating them. To invest in a UAS and know the autonomous machine will intelligently spray the crop, avoid obstacles and return to base on completion of the operation, allows the farmers to sleep easy. In fact, the UAS could totally autonomously undertake multiple tasks while the farmer is asleep, or on the Gold Coast.
